Silver Swallow: The Champagne of Kombucha

Silver Swallow Luxury Kombucha gifted me a bottle to try out and I loved it so much that I had to write a blog post about it! Silver Swallow is the Champagne of Kombucha.

In case you aren’t familiar with kombucha, it is essentially a fermented tea drink. It’s delightfully bubbly and slightly sweet. It is non-alcoholic and has much less sugar than soda. Its popularity has boomed in recent years and it is available in a variety of flavours and styles, from different brands.

Silver Swallow uses rare, organic, white tea by the same name. It is hand-picked in Yunnan, China only once per spring. They carefully brew these leaves into a premium, champagne-coloured kombucha and even bottle it in an elegant Italian-made glass bottle with a cork!

Usually when I think of kombucha, I think of my visits to farmers’ markets and organic/natural grocery stores. However, drinking Silver Swallow was a whole new experience!

What stood out to me was the tea-forward flavour and the beautiful colour. In addition to tasting tea, I also got a hint of wildflower honey and passionfruit too.

It not only has a refined taste, but it also looks sophisticated. I poured it into my favourite champagne coupes and it looked beautiful on its own, as well as with a sprig of lavender.

I love how it comes with a cork. Its distinctive POP! felt just like opening my favourite celebratory bottle of bubbly. Speaking of bubbles, I found that this had bubbles closer to that of sparkling wine, rather than the usual kombucha fizz. It also did not foam up my glass as I poured, which is a big plus for me.

I had the pleasure of enjoying my first glass over brunch: French pastries (Kouign-amann) and seasonal berries (red currants, gooseberries, and cherries). It was a delicious pairing!

Overall, I absolutely loved Silver Swallow Luxury Kombucha. It tastes amazing, looks lovely, and is truly luxurious. It is a fantastic non-alcoholic alternative to champagne and I plan on ordering more! Highly recommend!
